Paul trained as an actor at Drama Studio London. No 1 UK Tours include the ITV hit comedy 'RISING DAMP' playing the role of Alan originally made famous by Richard Beckinsale & directed by original cast member Don Warrington touring the UK throughout 2013 & 2014.
In 2016 & 2017 Paul was awarded UK's BEST DAME by the UK Panto Fan Awards & 2017 nominated for Best Dame by the Great British Pantomime Awards. In 2005 Paul won 'Panto Idol' (ITV Meridian).

Theatre credits include the hilarious Farce 'A Bedfull of Foreigners' (UK Tour) playing the role of Hanz the inept hotel manager, the preview of the new musical 'Alvaro’s Balcony' featuring Susannah York (Her Majesty’s Theatre, London), 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream' playing Demetrius & Snout (UK Tour), the UK National Tour in 2008 & 2011 of 'Oh! What A Lovely War' (Inc Theatre Royal Portsmouth, Buxton Opera House & Grand Theatre Lancaster), 'Fatal Encounter' (Gordon Craig Theatre), 'Macbeth' playing Malcolm (Swan Theatre Worcester, Theatre Colwyn, Germany & Switzerland Tour), 'We Did Them Our Way' (10th Anniversary gala performance of the Courtyard Theatre Hereford), 'Twelfth Night' playing Sir Andrew Aguecheek (Hazlitt Theatre, Kent open-air), the Feydeau Farce 'Better Late' playing the role of Lucien (Grange Court Theatre, London), Kenneth Halliwell in the musical 'The Boys In The Front Room' based on the lives of Joe Orton and his partner & killer Kenneth (Gatehouse Theatre, London), 'The Clock Strikes Ten' playing Bernard Jeffreys (Grange Court Theatre, London), King Neptune in 'The Little Mermaid' (Playhouse Theatre Weston-super-mare & Palace Theatre Southend), 'The School for Scandal' playing Sir Benjamin Backbite & Charles Surface (Cambridge open-air), 'Still Life' & 'Shadow Play' from Noel Coward’s 'Tonight at 8.30' (Leatherhead Theatre).

Gaining a huge following in Chesterfield, Derbyshire Paul was Dame for 3 years at the Pomegranate Theatre playing Nurse Glucose in 'Robin Hood & the Babes in the Wood', Widow Twankey in 'Aladdin' and Ugly Sister in 'Cinderella'.
Other Pantos include Dame Dolly Mixture in 'Snow White' and Widow Twankey in 'Aladdin' at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, Ugly Sister in 'Cinderella' at the Lyceum Theatre Crewe, Pavilion Theatre Worthing, Leatherhead Theatre, Thameside Theatre Essex.

As 'Readings Favourite Dame' Paul has starred at the Hexagon Theatre as Widow Twankey in Aladdin, Nanny McSmee in Peter Pan, Dame Trott in Jack & the Beanstalk, Ugly Sister in Cinderella, Sarah the Cook in Dick Whittington, Dame Dolly in Snow White, Nanny Cuddles in Cinderella alongside Justin Fletcher.

2021 Paul returns by popular demand to the Hexagon Theatre, Reading for an 8th year to star in BEAUTY & THE BEAST.
